There are labels that have taken on unfortunate misrepresentations for many of us. God is one of them which I unpack a bit in the blog I wrote after an interview with my grandfather who is a second generation Lutheran Minister . . . Witch is another. I felt moved to share why this word is so meaningful, pure and powerful to me and not something sinister whatsoever.

Witches are the people that you may have sought out when you needed an herbal remedy but that were condemned by most of the people in the village in earlier times. In today's culture there seems to be an interesting dichotomy in who we place trust in. Sometimes we place trust in a doctor because she or he has spent a long time in school and that must mean they have our best interest in mind and have all the information required to give care to another person in need of healing. The reality is when choosing healing for our body, food, our partners or our career paths without a clear voice from our intuition we will struggle to see past the labels that can be confusing to the conscious intellectual mind.

Witch is a title given to those that listen to intuition. The destruction, the creation, the four elements of the planet, and universe spirit that we reside within don't care if someone with higher intellect challenges something they receive from those energy forces. They remain unwavering in their connecting to intuition, planet earth and galaxies' skies. The little piece of God that resides within all of us guiding us to say, "no" even when on the surface the resume of a person, place or thing screams, "why not, all intellectual facts say yes?" Those moments are exercises for us to overcome the conscious mind getting in the way of trusting the inner voice that lays within you. That voice knows exactly how to heal and what you need from every aspect and process in life. We are sometimes too fearful to listen because of a blog placed atop our light by the ego identity we have been given in small doses since the day we were born.

As we are raised in this culture we are indoctrinated with what you have to do in order to be loved and accepted as well as respected by your peers and family. Most of those lessons are products of injured, blocked and struggling egos that raised us, so to not take on that form is a constant struggle. I'm not saying that all people with MD's are smoke in mirrors, or every human that calls themselves a witch is rooted in pure connections to the universe earth and sky. I am only saying encourage yourself to unblock your chakras, the energy lines that lay in your body guiding you through every day here on earth. If you allow the layers of guilt, shame, fear, anger, confusion to cloud your energy beacons you can not see nor can you be seen fully. This will cause the decision making process to waiver and will not transcend to obtaining the balance in mind body and spirit we are all seeking.

To be whole you have to peel back the layers and not allow the loudest voices in the room to cause doubt in your soft powerful voice. That inner newborn infant that knew on a level of soul knowing more than you'll ever intellectualize -- what it is you need at every turn. Those are where the answers lie. You have them.

The universe is calling all of us to embrace the witch inside all of us whether you're getting up to deliver a speech to colleagues about nuclear physics or teaching a yoga class. You can do all the things your conscious mind seeks with more peace of mind and higher levels of success when you listen to that inner newborn infant voice calling out gently to you to listen. You knew what you needed when you came here, unblock all the layers of conditioning, hop on your broom stick and fly out of the loops you have programmed in your mind and body.
